1º Curso de NPF – Neuromodulação Periférica Funcional

Decorreu no fim de semana de 15-17 de Setembro em Oslo, o 1º Curso de Neuromodulação Periférica Funcional.

Os participantes foram membros do Grupo de interesse de Acupunctura Médica da Associação Norueguesa de Fisioterapeutas e que já tinham frequentado o 3º Módulo do Curso Básico de Acupunctura Médica, leccionado pelo nosso diretor clínico Dr. Hugo Pinto nos anos anteriores.

Este curso serviu como uma primeira introdução à Estimulação Percutânea de Nervos Periféricos e de Pontos Motores,  e que atualmente corresponde à nova abordagem diagnóstica e terapêutica das Disfunções Neurológicas Segmentares.

A frequência deste curso avançado requeria que os participantes já estivessem inteirados no Diagnóstico de Disfunção Segmentar previamente leccionado, para uma integração do raciocínio clínico mais rápida.

O curso baseou-se exclusivamente em abordagem de Anatomia e revisão das estruturas anatómicas mais facilmente lesadas com uma má técnica de punctura, localização dos nervos periféricos e os locais mais frequentes de compressão periférica nos Membros Superiores e Inferiores e como podemos utilizar a Estimulação Percutânea destes com Eletro-acupunctura para modularmos o Sistema Nervoso Periférico e Central, numa situação de Dor Cónica ou Aguda.

O curso deixou excelentes indicadores para o futuro pois todos os participantes conseguiram avaliar a diferença nos resultados e na rapidez de resultados quando os tratamentos são realizados de maneira e fica e segura.

From the 15th – 17th, the First Advanced Course in Peripheral Functional Neuromodultion, was lectured by our Clinical Director, Dr. Hugo Pinto, in Oslo.

The participants were all members of the interest group on Medical Acupuncture from the Norwegian National Physiotherapist Association, NFF, and all were experienced needlers, having done the previous Trinn 1-3 of the Basic Training in Medical Acupuncture.

This was the first of a series of courses that are going to be used to demonstrate and teach the Segmental Dysfunction Assessment Tools and the Percutaneous Peripheral Nerve and Motor Point Stimulation Techniques.

The Course was based fundamentally on:

  • Superficial anatomy so that all participants knew the bony landmarks and cutaneous or muscle references for a safe needling,
  • Assessment tools previously taught to do a proper Segmental Diagnosis, with the assessment of Dermatome, Myotome, Sclerotome and Reflex Vascular Areas)
  • Functional Assessment of the participants and patients presented so that we could have a notion of what muscles or myofascial chains were not functioning properly and needed treatment
  • Treating the Dysfunction with Electrical stimulation of peripheral nerves and motor points

The course left all the participants with excellent indicators for the future courses and practical workshops because all could acknowledge the difference in the speed and safety of results in this approach.
